Following the successful handing over of the presidency of Nigeria to President Muhammadu Buhari, former President Goodluck Jonathan retired back to his native Bayelsa State where he received a reception befitting of a hero.
Following a reception held in his honour by the Bayelsa State Government, Jonathan proceeded to his country home in Otuoke where an even grander reception awaited him.
On Sunday, May 31, 2015, he was treated to a colourful thanksgiving service where he was showered with several gifts.
