The Peoples Democratic Party has adopted Senator Bukola Saraki for the position of Senate President. And in the same vein, adopted Yakubu Dogara for the position of the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The party, therefore, urged its senators and house of rep members-elect in the National Assembly to act accordingly. This information was contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday morning signed by Olisa Metuh, the Publicity Secretary of the PDP.
Saharareporters learnt that the PDP met with other members overnight and decided to throw a wrench into whatever progress made by All Progressives Congress party as it earlier presented Senator Ahmed Lawan and Femi Gbajabiamila for the leadership of the National Assembly. APC sources told SaharaReporters they could only muster 55 senators out of 108 as at 12 midnight on Monday.
